The center has operated for many years under the name of
Cascada Verde, as an eco retreat, a permaculture hostel, a nature
guesthouse, and a jungle lodge and healing retreat. It was featured
and recommended in many travel guides (including Lonely Planet).
The garden is 100% organic, has been designed and maintained
according to permaculture principles over the last 10 years.
There are many fruit trees, including: mango, star fruit, water
apple, anona (a sort of tropical cherimoya), papaya, bananas
and many others. There are several varieties of edible wild
greens planted throughout the garden. It's an edible garden!
You will not find something like that anywhere else. That's
what attracted me to this place in the first place.
Most of the structure of the building is made of an incredible
purple heart wood that is nearly impossible to find today. It
has been constructed by German engineers, but built with love
in consideration of ecological impact.
The lot is 1.3 acres in size.
There are three buildings.
- The Retreat Lodge
- The communal house
- Casa Luna
The Retreat Lodge

The Retreat Lodge is 10,000 square feet in size. It's big!
It has an open air style for the most parts and two stories. It
is situated on a jungle hillside near a traditional farming
village, with a big balcony and Yoga deck offering a view of
the Marine Park and its pristine waters.

The building is constructed with local river stones, fallen
and sustainable harvested hardwood, terra cotta, bamboo, and
other natural materials; creating minimal impact on the environment.
It is a beautifully designed open air lodge on a hilltop
with ocean view including:
- Indivitual rooms
- Hammock patio
- Restaurant style kitchen
- Bathrooms/ hot showers
- Dormitory space
- Hardwood yoga deck overlooking the ocean
- Separated and insulated office with air conditioning (best
for computers)

Located directly in front of the house is a large pond to
cool the living space as well as provide a great place to dip
in the refreshing water.

At the first level there is the kitchen, with a beautiful
wooden bar for evening entertainment.

A sunken dining area suitable for 25-30 people

There are 7 guest rooms housing 2, 3, or 4 beds each.

There is also a space to expand for six aditional rooms,
each with their own bathrooms. It's about 95% done and we have
all the plans to finish it. If you need more space for more
guests in the future you could expand with even more rooms.

There is also a very big Yoga deck overlooking the ocean.
This is a really cool part that everyone loves. It's also a
great space that can be used for Meditation, Qi Gong, Tai Chi,
Acrobatics, Gymnastics and more.
The communal house

We also have a more rustic 2 story traditional jungle style
house (9 x 10 m) with large and small rooms as well as a dormitory.
It features a big communal space and large communal kitchen
and workshop. 12 guests can be lodged in 3 rooms and 2 dormitories.
Casa Luna

The third building is a wooden structure (7 x 10 m) that
could be used for a variety of purposes (living space, additional
classrooms, artist and therapeutic studios, etc.).We had plans
to build a gym and another exercise space in there! It's a beautiful
location, next to a natural stream.
Of course there is electricity (110/220V), public and spring
water, flushing toilets connected to a biogas digestor, a modern
kitchen, intelligent lighting throughout the place, 2 phone
lines and high speed Internet access.
The accommodations on the second floor are basic, mostly
separated by beautiful hard wood walls, orthopaedic mattresses
and furnished with custom designed sheets and bedding. all rooms
and the intire building is build with a building practices that
use both biologically-compatible and ecologically-sound products
and processes that go beyond green.
